Prayer Ministry

One simple but very powerful way to get involved is to pray regularly for the needs of our church and community. Prayer is one of the most valuable tools we have as Christians.

Our prayer ministry is central to our desire to be a prayer-saturated church. Prayer is a lifeline to God and deserves great attention both before the worship service and during. We can never pray too much.

The Pastor and Session regularly pray for the congregation and welcome all prayer requests.

Women's Prayer Meeting

Save the date ladies! Wednesday, September 8^th at 7PM will be the first women’s prayer meeting.

Fellowship Luncheon

For our first Fellowship Luncheon on September 12^th, please bring a main dish AND a side dish (salad, fruit, vegetable, bread or dessert) to share. Drinks will be provided by DPC. Theme: Anything goes!

Made with Love Stitching Ministry

Made with Love Stitching Ministry will meet Friday, September 17^th at 10AM at DPC.

Work Day

The next work day is September 18^th from 8 to 11AM. The emphasis will be on inside and outside cleaning in preparation for the Wayne Grudem conference. Please contact Rob Hood for more information at 480-239-6282.

WIC Card Workshop

Please come join us for our second card workshop of 2010 on September 22nd at 7PM! We will be creating a variety of cards to send to Operation Write Home, a non-profit group that sends blank homemade cards overseas to our troops to select and send to their loved ones. These soldiers select the card that fits the occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.), adds their personal greeting and this organization mails them out free of charge. The fact that these cards are all “made with love” adds that special element for the wonderful men and women serving our country! No creativity required, the workshop will offer simple instructions and a good night of fellowship as we create ~160 cards to send to this worthwhile cause. Come join us!

Wayne Grudem Conference

COMING IN SEPTEMBER!
DPC will be hosting a conference on September 25th - "A Biblical Approach to Politics Today" with internationally renowned theologian and author Dr. Wayne Grudem. Dr. Grudem is Research Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies at Phoenix Seminary and has just authored a book "Politics According to the Bible" which will be for sale at the conference. The proceeds from this conference will support the Boling Family, Missionaries to Bogota, Colombia.

New Church Office Hours

The new church office hours are 9AM to 2PM Tuesday through Friday. The office will be closed on Mondays.

Sunday School

Sunday School will begin again at 9:00AM on September 12th.

Men's Bible Study

Men's Bible Study will begin meeting at 6AM on Thursday, September 16th at DPC.

Women's Bible Study

The Tuesday Women's Bible Study "The Great Teachings of the Church: The Covenant" will begin meeting on September 21st from 10:30 a.m. to noon at DPC.
